The big surprise result here is Ritsu of Digimon Dreamers falling to Yuuji Musya of Digimon Chronicle in a squeaker. Neo Saiba also narrowly escaped henchman Sigma while Next buddy Yuu Inui prevailed over Next rival Shou Kahara.

EDEN Server wasn't as dramatic, but Miu prevailed in the hotly-contested fight with her brother Kaito. The Shinonomes racked up more votes than any other first round contest.
